Pastor Laird Ballard

Pastor Laird Ballard has faithfully shepherded New Life Baptist Church in Middleboro for many years, preaching the whole counsel of God with clarity, honesty, and compassion. His teaching draws directly from Scripture and aims to apply God’s Word to the everyday questions and struggles of real life.

Pastor Ballard is the author of The God’s Honest Truth — a primer for contemporary biblical thinking that walks readers through the questions of universal beginnings, the existence of evil, the Christian view of warfare and slavery, and modern issues like abortion and gay rights. The book aims to be a guide through the ever-changing customs and shifting moralities of life on planet Earth, anchored in biblical doctrine.

Beyond Sunday preaching, Pastor Ballard leads a weekly Thursday Bible study, oversees the church’s outreach to Nemasket Health Care Center, and offers biblical counsel to anyone in the community who asks for it. He and his wife are a constant, welcoming presence — and they would love to meet you.
